Mason Conservation District is proud to be partnering with the Puget Sound Estuarium to bring Pier Peer to Mason County.
This project was funded by a grant from the Skokomish Indian Tribe.

At Pier Peer, the Puget Sound Estuarium staff light up the water beneath the dock, allowing you to view and collect all kinds of marine life! To enhance your experience, we also bring along a state-of-the-art remote operated vehicle that enables you to see what lives on the bottom of the bay. Our passionate and knowledgeable volunteer naturalists assist in identifying the creatures you encounter and to offer guidance on safe and responsible interaction with them.

FAQ
How much does it cost to register?
We are proud to be offering Mason County Pier Peer events for FREE! A special thank you to the Skokomish Indian Tribe for providing grant funding for this project.

What should I bring with me?
It is recommended that each participant bring their own flashlight. Underwater lights will be provided by the Estuarium, but having a personal flashlight will help you get a good look at anything you find.

What should I wear?
Everyone is required to wear a mask. Please wear non-slip shoes and dress for the weather.
