The City of Shelton and Mason Conservation District have built community gardens at Callanan Park and the Civic Center in Shelton, WA. These gardens are an important food resource for residents in the community. They are also teaching gardens with workshops and demonstrations open to the public. There are over 30 raised garden beds accessible from both kneeling and sitting positions. There are also fruit bearing trees and shrubs, as well as pollinator habitats. Watering and compost are available on site.
To receive a garden bed, you must fill out the below form (English or Spanish option). Every year, the beds are given on a “first come, first serve” basis. All food grown is yours to keep. |
There are fruit bearing trees and shrubs, pollinator gardens, and wheel-chair accessible raised garden beds. This is a no-cost, no-registration u-pick garden. Any resident may come and pick their chosen herbs or fruit from the garden space.
